How the cropping works
Since your original photo's proportions rarely match every target size's aspect ratio exactly, this tool center-crops the image to match each target's ratio first, then scales it to the exact pixel dimensions — the same "fill the frame, crop the edges" approach most platforms themselves use for cover photos and thumbnails. For a tightly-cropped target like a Facebook cover photo, make sure your main subject is centered in the original photo before uploading.

Platforms periodically adjust their recommended image sizes. The dimensions here reflect each platform's currently published guidance as of 2026; if a size looks off, double-check against that platform's own current help page before a high-stakes upload (like a profile redesign).
