Amazon Title/Bullet Character Counter
Live character counts for your Amazon listing title and bullet points.
What is the Amazon Title/Bullet Character Counter?
This tool live-counts the characters in your Amazon product title and five bullet points against Amazon's current listing limits, so you can see at a glance what needs trimming before you save your listing.
Current Amazon limits (2026)
- Title: 75 characters including spaces, for all categories except media (books, music, video) — this dropped from a much looser historical limit on July 27, 2026, specifically so titles display fully on mobile search results.
- Bullet points: up to 255 characters each (500 for registered brand vendors), with Amazon recommending a combined total under 1,000 characters across all five bullets, since only the first 1,000 bytes are indexed for search.
Because this is a recent, actively-enforced rule change, double check your category's exact current limit in Seller Central if your listing is in a specialty category, as some category-specific exceptions can apply.
How to use it
- Paste or type your title — the counter turns amber near the limit and red once you're over it.
- Fill in up to five bullet points; each is checked against the 255-character cap independently.
- Watch the combined total at the bottom to stay under Amazon's ~1,000 character indexing cutoff.
