Instagram Grid Splitter
Split one photo into a multi-post Instagram grid or carousel.
What is the Instagram Grid Splitter?
This tool cuts one image into equal pieces — a 3×3 grid for the classic "puzzle feed" look, or a 2 or 3-panel carousel for a single wide panorama-style post — and gives you each piece as a separate downloadable image, ready to upload to Instagram in order.
How to use it
- Upload the photo you want to split.
- Pick a layout: a 3×3 grid for nine feed posts, or a 2 or 3-panel carousel for a single post split across a swipeable carousel.
- Leave "crop to square first" checked for a 3×3 grid (Instagram's feed tiles are square, so a non-square source image would otherwise distort), or uncheck it for a carousel split of a naturally wide image.
- Download each piece and upload them to Instagram in the same order they're shown here (post the pieces in reverse order for a 3×3 grid, since Instagram's feed fills newest-first, top-left).
Posting a split image only looks right if every piece gets uploaded before anything else goes up in between — plan to post all pieces back-to-back (or scheduled close together) so the grid stays intact for anyone scrolling your profile.
