What is the Net Worth Calculator?

Net worth is the simplest overall measure of financial position: everything you own, minus everything you owe. This tool lists both sides and calculates the difference, entirely in your browser — nothing you enter is saved or sent anywhere.

The formula

Net Worth = Total Assets − Total Liabilities.

How to use it

  1. List your assets: cash and savings, investment accounts, retirement accounts, real estate, vehicles, and other significant property.
  2. List your liabilities: mortgage balance, car loans, student loans, credit card balances, and any other debt.
  3. See your net worth, the difference between the two totals.

Net worth is a snapshot, not a complete financial picture — it doesn't capture income, cash flow, or how liquid (easily accessible) your assets actually are. Tracking it over time, rather than judging a single number in isolation, is usually more useful.
