What is the JPG to PNG tool?

This tool converts an image to PNG directly in your browser, redrawing it onto a canvas and re-encoding it in the new format — no upload, no installation.

How to use it

  3. Click Download to save the PNG file.

PNG is a lossless format, so converting to it stops any further quality loss during future edits, and PNG supports transparency if you plan to remove the background afterward — though converting a JPG to PNG can't recover detail that JPG's compression already discarded from the original. As with the other image tools here, the conversion runs entirely on your device using the Canvas API, so your file is never sent to a server.
