What is the Daily Word Game?
Guess the hidden 5-letter word in 6 tries. After each guess, each letter is colored to show how close you are: green means that letter is correct and in the right spot, yellow means the letter is in the word but in the wrong spot, and gray means the letter isn't in the word at all.
How to use it
- Type a 5-letter word using your keyboard or the on-screen keys, and press Enter.
- Use the color feedback to narrow down the answer over your remaining guesses.
- Everyone gets the same word on the same calendar day — come back tomorrow for a new one, or play a random practice round in the meantime.
About the word lists
The daily answer is always picked from a pool of common, recognizable English words, while a much larger dictionary is used to accept any reasonable guess — so you can try strategic guesses with uncommon letters even if they wouldn't make a good "answer" themselves.
About your stats
Your streak and win percentage are saved in your browser's local storage — there's no account and nothing is uploaded, which also means your stats are specific to this browser and device and won't follow you to a different one.
