What is the Currency Converter?
This tool converts an amount from one currency to another using up-to-date exchange rates, fetched live from a public, free exchange-rate data provider (Frankfurter, which publishes daily reference rates sourced from the European Central Bank).
How to use it
- Enter the amount you want to convert.
- Choose the currency you're converting from and to.
- The converted amount and the current exchange rate update automatically.
A note on accuracy and limits
These are daily reference rates, updated once each business day — they're accurate enough for budgeting, travel planning, invoicing, or general comparison, but a bank or card network will apply its own real-time rate plus a markup or fee to an actual transaction, which will differ slightly from the rate shown here. Rates aren't published on weekends or certain holidays, in which case the most recent available rate is shown. Since this tool fetches live data, it needs an internet connection to work (unlike most tools on this site, which run fully offline once loaded) — but your amount and currency choices are never sent anywhere beyond the public rate lookup itself.
